@ Your Library: Events & Reports | 1 - 2Randy Dykhuis Receives Wayne State University’s Library and Information Science Program’s 2003 Distinguished Alumnus AwardRandy Dykhuis, MLA Forum editorial board member, has received the 2003 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year from the Library and Information Science Program at Wayne State University. Dykhuis received his bachelor’s degree in education from Central Michigan University, and his Master of Library and Information science degree from Wayne State University. As executive director of the Michigan Library Consortium since 1995, Dykhuis has worked with the Library of Michigan in order to bring over $3.6 million in electronic resources to Michigan libraries and citizens. Dykhuis previously served at OCLC as director of services for OHIONET and as senior marketing representative. He also served as a reference librarian at Grand Rapids Public Library and Grace A. Dow Memorial Library. “I am impressed with Randy Dykhuis’s dedication to making sure that each library in Michigan maximizes its potential and receives the greatest number of resources possible,” said Joseph J.
